3CX Dial Codes — Complete Feature Code Reference

A quick-reference sheet of every star code and feature dial code available on your 3CX phone system.

What Are Feature Codes?

Feature codes — sometimes called star codes or dial codes — are short digit sequences you dial from any extension to trigger a system function. You can use them from a desk phone, the 3CX web client, or the mobile app. The codes below are the defaults for 3CX v20. Your administrator can customize or disable individual codes, so if something does not work as expected, contact DVGVoIP for your account-specific configuration.

Call Parking Orbits at a Glance

Call parking uses orbit slots numbered 1 through 8. Park a call by pressing Transfer then dialing ##1 through ##8. Any colleague can retrieve it from any phone by dialing *1 through *8 to match the orbit number.

Announce the orbit number over the PA or via intercom so the right person retrieves the call. See the Call Parking guide for full details.

Do Not Disturb Toggle

Dial *62 from your extension to enable Do Not Disturb. Your phone will stop ringing and calls will follow your configured forwarding rules — typically routing to voicemail or another extension. Dial *62 again to turn DND off. The 3CX web client and mobile app also show a DND toggle in your status menu if you prefer not to dial.

Barge-In and Intercom Notes

Barge-in (*55[ext]) is a supervisor feature that joins an active call without warning. It should only be used when operationally necessary. Your administrator may restrict this code to specific extensions. Intercom (*1[ext] or *67[ext]) opens a one-way or two-way audio channel to a desk phone without requiring the other party to answer — the phone auto-answers on the speaker.

Outside Line Prefix

Whether you need to dial a prefix such as 9 before an external number depends on how DVGVoIP has configured your dial plan. Many modern 3CX deployments use no prefix at all — you dial the full 10-digit number directly. Check with your site administrator or contact DVGVoIP if external calls are not connecting.

Codes Not Working?

Feature codes can be enabled, disabled, or reassigned by your system administrator. If a code listed here does not behave as described, it may have been customized for your account. Contact DVGVoIP and we can confirm the exact codes active on your system.
